Opening to the public on 24 October, the exciting new shopping and eating hub in Wembley Park –London Designer Outlet – will host a jam-packed, exciting day of FREE family workshops, special offers, fab food, live music, pop-up dance performances and MUCH more… Fun for all ages!

Commissioned by the team behind London Designer Outlet and devised by Ali Pretty of Kinetika – The Sitare Festival celebrates the rich culture of the Wembley area. It will become an annual fixture in the Wembley calendar, bringing the whole community together, as well as welcoming visitors from further afield to celebrate together for many years to come.

Entertaining you with dance spectacles are performing arts group Nutkhut who will perform dance extracts of Bollywood Steps – the famous British Bollywood-fusion dance show. To give your ears (as well as your eyes) a treat, Sony TV Asia will host a live music stage and the BBC Asian Network will play music throughout the afternoon.

In preparation for this huge celebration of local creativity, talent and opportunity, 150 primary school children across Wembley have been busy working with community engagement and outdoor arts company, Kinetika, to create costumes, banners and mobiles for the Sitare Parade – a star-inspired spectacle set to be the highlight of the day!

Schools taking part include Kingsbury High Secondary School, Lyon Park Junior School, Mount Stewart Junior School, and dance groups KSPARK and First Impressions.

 

ORDER OF EVENTS

The parade will start at King Edwards VII Park at 3.30pm

It is anticipated to arrive at London Designer Outlet at approx. 4.30pm

The Sitare procession will snake its way through Wembley Park starting from the King Edward VII Park, along Wembley Park Drive, down Olympic Way and through Wembley Park to London Designer Outlet.

Once there, shopping enthusiasts can take advantage of bargains with up to 70% off RRP. Confirmed retailers include L.K Bennett, Superdry, Guess, Nike, Gap, Clarks and Marks & Spencer.

And if shopping is not your thing, there is a new nine-screen Cineworld and fabulous restaurants such as Wagamama, Pizza Express, Nando’s and Cabana.  Even more food and drink stalls will be located around Wembley Park for when you are feeling peckish!
