The Spring Festival at London Designer Outlet will happen this Saturday, 5 April.  The design studio have been working on the outlet’s launch programme which began in November 2013 with the Sitare Festival. This will be the final event for the project.

The Brent & Kilburn Times recently published this article featuring Kinetika People‘s Batik Workshops which took place at the outlet, during March and engaged 300 local school chilren.

If you have been following the Facebook PageTwitter or website you will have seen the hundreds of drawings appear in galleries. These will be revealed by Kinetika Design Studio artists led by Ali Pretty, who will paint dye onto the 50 metres of silk live in front of an audience.

Ali Pretty led the design for the silk and the costumes for the Sitare Festival, and Spring Festival. On Saturday the costumes will be worn by the Kinetika Bloco who will be performing throughout the day (see events schedule below).

Kinetika People will putting on an exhibition of all the drawings made as part of the Spring Festival at the outlet, from April 5 – 5 May. The finished 50m silk banner will also go on display at the outlet during this time.

Treasure hunt trail
Children and adults are invited to take part in the exciting treasure hunt around London Designer Outlet, with a whole host of fabulous prizes on offer – including a grand prize of ‘VIP’ tickets to Disney On Ice, Worlds Of Fantasy at Wembley Arena where the kids will actually get to join the characters and take part in the show; runners up will have the chance to win £100 shopping vouchers- each child will also receive a Lindt Bunny for taking part.

Judged by Kiss FM DJ Neev the event will take place during the festival to showcase the very best of Britain’s un-tapped talent.
